So many valuable life lessons have been learned in a gym. From honing your gut instinct to accepting assistance when you really need it- the gym serves it up.
Seriously though, I've been traveling this week, and I've been popping into a gym as a way to stay balanced while out of my normal routine. It's funny how comforting and familiar the smells of the gym can become. We've talked about third spaces before, and the gym can certainly serve as a third space- not home, not work- but another space. A friend texted to check on me this week because she hasn't seen me at the gym. There's a unique connection in the gym space once you get to know the people who frequent there. However, you go about it- let's stay strong and nimble and keep learning life lessons while we keep these bodies moving. xoxo
